Is there a charge for setting up the tables?

No, we include the set up of tables and provide a white linen tablecloth based on the layout of tables decided in advance of your event in our rental fee. We additionally tear down tables after your event. We just ask that all trash and decorations are removed from the tables by the end of your event.

Do you provide the firewood for the fireplace and firepits?

Yes, we provide the wood for both the firepits and fireplaces. Only Silverstone Farm employees are allowed to start fires and add wood to the fires.

Can we enter the pastures to pet the cows?

No, access to barns and pastures are strictly forbidden by anyone in attendance of an event at the Barn. Viewing of livestock is only from outside the fence. Caution should be given to the electric fence that surrounds the pastures.

Can we hold our ceremony down by Buck Creek?

Yes, The Barn has a landscaped area down by the creek’s edge to the north of the event center that will allow benches/chairs to be set up for a ceremony to be held in the shade of the two large walnut trees. This location is in addition to the area adjacent to the barn which roughly measures 50 ft. x 80 ft.

Can we take our engagement pictures at the farm?

Yes, will give and hour of access with each rental of the event center. This time must be scheduled in advance.

Can I bring my own alcohol?

No, the county requires all alcohol served to be through a licensed bartender. We have three different bartending companies to choose from for that service. They have different options to choose from based on size of functions and budgets.

Can I choose my own catering company?

Yes, you may use any caterer of your choose. The event center has a small warming kitchen to provide a space for your chosen caterer. They have access to the space during your rental period.

Can I rent a cow for my event for pictures?

Yes, we raise Holsteins and Brown Swiss Dairy cattle for show. They are all social and photogenic. We do charge an additional fee and it must be scheduled in advance of your event to properly prepare.

How many persons does your event center hold?

The Barn at Silverstone Farm can sit 250 persons for a seated event inside the barn. Additional tables can be placed under the covered patio and on the lawn area to the back of the barn weather permitting. A tent my also be placed on the lawn in the rear of the barn for additional seating but for an additional cost.

Do you allow pets at the event center?

Yes, but all must remain on a leash while on the property and at no time be allowed to roam. Any droppings from pets must also be picked up and disposed of in proper containers.
